Technology company MITAC has recently unveiled its latest server and cooling technology at the Computex 2025 event. This innovation is set to revolutionize the way data centers are powered, making them more sustainable and efficient.

As the demand for data storage and processing continues to grow, data centers are becoming increasingly important. However, they also consume a significant amount of energy, which contributes to carbon emissions and environmental damage. MITAC recognized this issue and has designed a solution that addresses both the need for advanced technology and the global goal of reducing carbon footprint.

Overview

MiTAC Computing Technology Corp., featured prominently at COMPUTEX 2025, emphasized its transformation from a hardware supplier into a comprehensive AI and data center innovator. Their focus on developing energy-efficient, scalable solutions addresses the evolving needs of modern data centers, aiming to enhance performance and sustainability via advanced technologies.

Energy-Efficient Liquid Cooling Solutions

MiTAC introduced advanced liquid cooling systems designed to optimize energy efficiency for high-performance computing (HPC) and AI workloads. Their full-rack liquid cooling options include Liquid-to-Air and Liquid-to-Liquid systems, capable of managing over 2000 kW of thermal demands. A standout component is their Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) technology, showcased in their MiTAC C2820Z5 server, suited for energy savings while meeting the rigorous requirements of HPC tasks. These systems incorporate innovative monitoring tools to streamline operational management.

Cutting-Edge Server Platforms

The event highlighted MiTAC’s strides in AI training and inference servers, including the MiTAC G4527G6 and G8825Z5 models. The MiTAC G4527G6 leverages NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs alongside dual Intel Xeon processors, targeting AI inference tasks. Meanwhile, the MiTAC G8825Z5 integrates AMD EPYC processors and the MI350 GPU series, enhancing capabilities for generative AI and large-scale language models. These platforms illustrate MiTAC’s commitment to scaling AI adoption without compromising on energy efficiency.

Partnerships Driving Innovation

Collaboration with AMD further strengthened MiTAC’s offerings. By integrating AMD EPYC processors and AMD Instinct GPUs, MiTAC addressed the demand for powerful and efficient AI infrastructures. This partnership underlined a shared commitment to pioneering technologies such as advanced liquid cooling systems to support larger, more energy-intensive AI clusters in data centers.

Storage and Scalability

MiTAC also unveiled their storage-oriented offerings, like the R1520G6 server, equipped with NVMe U.2 drive bays designed for high-speed data access. Solutions like these reflect MiTAC’s understanding of the pivotal role efficient storage plays in modern data centers, ensuring scalability and sustained performance for enterprises handling increasing data volumes.

                                                 Emphasis on Sustainable Infrastructure

A recurring theme in MiTAC’s announcements was designing infrastructure that prioritizes sustainability. Their server platforms and cooling systems address not only raw performance needs but also energy conservation goals. Efforts in this direction reflect MiTAC’s alignment with global trends favoring environmentally conscious practices within the tech industry.

Versatility and Customization

MiTAC’s solutions stand out for their adaptability across various enterprise use cases. Their integration of Open Compute Project (OCP) standards ensures interoperability while offering customization options tailored to specific operational needs. This flexibility bolsters their appeal as a trusted partner for businesses navigating the challenges of modern AI, HPC, and cloud environments.

Highlighted Technological Offerings

  • Liquid Cooling: Full-rack options for efficiency and thermal management.
  • High-Performance AI Servers: MiTAC G8825Z5 and G4527G6 for training and inference tasks.
  • Energy Savings: Direct Liquid Cooling technology engineered for operational cost reductions.
  • Storage Solutions: NVMe-enabled servers enhancing data handling speeds and scalability.

Commitment to Next-Generation AI

MiTAC demonstrated a clear focus on empowering AI advancements through integrated systems capable of supporting workloads like AI cluster computations and generative modeling. Aligning these efforts with energy-conscious strategies ensures their solutions remain relevant as robotics, machine learning, and related fields expand.
