Summary

  • Nintendo launched a buy-one-get-one-free deal on Switch Online memberships on November 18.
  • The offer, which will be live until December 1, comes with a catch in that it’s currently only available in Europe.
  • Nintendo has already announced plenty of Black Friday 2024 deals that will be available in the U.S. starting November 24.

An awesome new deal offers Switch owners a chance to purchase two annual Nintendo Switch Online memberships for the price of one. However, Nintendo‘s latest promotion comes with a catch in that it’s geographically limited, and currently unavailable in the United States.

The Switch-exclusive subscription service has been featured in numerous promotions since first launching in September 2018. Aside from traditional discounts, Nintendo Switch Online is occasionally packaged with game and console bundles, in addition to offering savings via its game voucher program.

The subscription service has now found itself at the center of yet another promotion called Bring a Friend, which debuted in Europe on Monday, November 18. As the name suggests, what Nintendo put together here is essentially a buy-one-get-one-free deal. The offer applies to both the regular NSO membership and the Expansion Pack tier of the service, priced at €19.99 / £17.99 and €39.99 / £34.99 per year, respectively.

NSO ‘Bring a Friend’ Promotion Is for Individual Memberships Only

The Bring a Friend promotion is exclusively available for individual Nintendo Switch Online memberships. Family plans, which extend their benefits to up to eight connected Nintendo Accounts, currently cannot be purchased at a reduced price. Another thing that’s not encompassed in this promotion is the U.S., as this limited-time offer has so far only launched in Europe. Game Rant’s review of Nintendo’s regional websites suggests that around a dozen countries on the Old Continent have access to the Bring a Friend promotion as of November 18. Nintendo fans in eligible markets have until December 1 to take advantage of the deal.
