Tarleton Williams, a computer engineer at Unisys in Philadelphia, passed away on April 25, 2025. He was 55 years old.
Born in Philadelphia in 1970, Tarleton was an incredibly driven and curious child. His love for technology began at a young age when he would constantly take apart and put back together his family’s computer. His parents knew he was destined for a career in technology when he received his first computer programming kit at just 10 years old.
Tarleton’s passion for computers and technology only grew as he got older. He attended a top engineering school and graduated with honors in 1992. Soon after, he landed a job at Unisys, where he worked for over 30 years.
Tarleton quickly became known as a go-to expert in the office, with his deep understanding of computer systems and his ability to solve complex problems. He was a true leader and mentor, always willing to share his knowledge and help others grow in their careers.
But Tarleton’s impact went far beyond his office. He was a dedicated husband and father, always making time for his family no matter how busy work got. He also volunteered his time to mentor young students interested in pursuing careers in technology.
Tarleton was a true trailblazer in the industry, always pushing boundaries and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements. He was also a beloved member of the Philadelphia community, known for his warm smile and kind heart.
Unfortunately, Tarleton’s life was cut short after a battle with cancer. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and colleagues at Unisys.
